Musictime

Thursdays at 10:30 am begining January 12th.

Children and their grownups are invited to share music together with songs, dance, and instrument play in this six-week session of MusicTime! 

Open to children 12 months-5 years with caregivers.

Picture Book Club: Groundhog Weather School

Wednesday, February 1st at 4:30 pm

Our book this month is Groundhog Weather School by Joan Holub. Join your book-loving friends to talk about that book, enjoy a few more, and celebrate Groundhog’s Day! Will spring weather come soon?

Family Paint Times: Cactus Heart

Wednesday, February 8th at 4:30 or 6:30 pm

Come to the library and follow a step-by-step plan to create a painting of a cactus so cute you’ll want to hug it!  

Ages 5 and up; under 10 must have a supervising caregiver, who is encouraged to paint along!

Series Celebration: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Wednesday, February 15th at 4:30 pm

Celebrate Jeff Kinney’s wildly popular series in a special book club meeting. We will discuss the characters and style of the books, test our knowledge and play some games to celebrate the books!  Open to confirmed fans and those who want to try something new; children should have read at least the first book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, before the meeting. Books will be available for checkout at the library.

Middle School Book Club: Dear Student 

Wednesday, February 15th at 6:30 pm

The Middle School Book Club will discuss Dear Student by Elly Swartz. Participants should read the book before the meeting and bring the book with them; copies will be available at the library.

1970s Snack Bags

Beginning on Tuesday, February 21st at 10am

You’ve had International Snack Bags - now it’s time to explore the decades and experience delicious snacks from the 1970s! Grab your bell-bottoms and head to the library to grab a 1970s Snack Bag; each bag will contain snacks popular in the 1970s as well as suggestions for books from the decade of disco.

1970s Snack Bags are available at the library for kids of all ages; while supplies last.


Community Coloring

Tuesday, February 21st from 10am-7:30pm

Help us complete our giant coloring posters! Drop-in to the Conant Public Library and contribute to our giant poster. Spend a vacation day coloring with friends in the Baker Room. Open to people of all ages.

Explorers’ Club: LEGO!

Thursday, February 23rd at 2 pm

Come explore the world of LEGO! We will enjoy LEGO trivia, speed challenges, and make a lego souvenir to take home.
